JTWG Hard Real Time Aspects

Goals:

Document state-of-art of realtime capability of COTS (Commercial of the shelf) Ethernet.
Benchmark of TCP/IP stacks.
A solution shall have to comply with IDA / Ethernet/IP technologies.
Monitor and take into account current standardisation activities.

The JTWG Hard Real-Time Aspects currently consists of approximately 12 members and its goal is to investigate both the real-time capabilities of commercial of the shelf Ethernet components including the latencies through specific TCP/IP-stacks and new approaches with an improved real-time behaviour.
